The Power of Community in Leadership

Leadership can feel lonely. Even when you’re surrounded by people, carrying the weight of decision-making and responsibility often feels like pushing a boulder uphill. You’re the one pushing the envelope, saying the unspoken, and doing the hard thing — whether others are on board or not.
At its core, leadership has less to do with authority and more to do with connection. Real influence — the kind that inspires others and drives change — is built through trust, credibility, and the relationships you nurture. In other words, leadership grows out of connection.
That’s why community matters. As leaders, we need circles outside our day-to-day worlds. Places where we can be honest, where our perspectives get stretched, and where we’re reminded that we’re not carrying it all alone. That’s the kind of connection that builds courage, clarity, and resilience to our missions.
That belief is what inspired us to create The Well. We wanted to build a space for purpose-driven leaders who are looking for more than surface-level conversations. A space where honest dialogue sparks insight, where values are shared openly, and where the perspective of others can ignite new ways of thinking about our own leadership.
The Well is about drawing strength from each other, learning together, and creating a circle where purpose and connection run deep. Because when leaders invest in community, they expand their capacity to lead with intention.
If this sounds like the kind of connection you are searching for, we’d love for you to join us for the kickoff of The Well on September 10.
